and Gear up for diving.
Come by and pick up course materials and Snorkeling System for scuba.
We recommend a least one week before class starts.
Classes start almost every week, size is limited please call or come by to reserve you place.
Equipment: Your Open Water Diver course requires to have your own personal Snorkeling System for Scuba for pool and checkout dives, call or come by for details, Additional scuba equipment is provided for pool training, but not open water checkout dives. We offer a $50 rental package for local checkout dives that includes weekend rental of Air Delivery System and Buoyancy Control system.

The above listing is the minimal requirements to go through any Open Water course taught by Professional Instructors.
Cost: $299 (with purchase of personal snorkeling system), for classroom and pool sessions and 6 Open Water Certification Dives, SSI open Water Diver course book and DVD, SSI Dive Tables and Dive Computer training, SSI certification card processing, Lunch during Saturday class, TDS consulting, use of Scuba System for pool sessions. Your personal snorkeling system will not be included in the course fee, cost will vary depending on quality and style for your budget It's important to learn to dive in your own properly fitted equipment. Private lessons: We understand life's busy. If none of these options fits your schedule, consider our Private classroom and pool training option. The course will be done at a pace to fit your needs. Private lessons cost $499 and ensure to get the most out of your scuba certification.
Step 3. Schedule your
Open Water Dives.
Certification Dives: You must complete your 6 open water dives with an instructor to earn your certification. These must be completed within twelve months of your pool training.
We offer local certification dives les than an hour from Oklahoma city from May to November. December through April we travel to regional dive sites to complete the checkout dives. You may also complete your certification on one of Frank's Underwater Sports trips. Click here for schedule, HERE.

NITROX Course
Key Diver Benefits: Reduces physiological effects of nitrogen absorption.
Increase bottom time at nominal depths
Have you ever wanted to
extend your bottom time and shorten your surface interval? The Enriched Air and
NITROX course is just what you're looking for. NITROX has become and will be the
wave of the future for recreational divers. But it also requires more intensive
preparation and planning. In your Open Water Course you learned basic physics
and physiology of diving. This course will allow you to build on that knowledge
and make you a safer diver. The benefits of NITROX will decrease your Nitrogen
absorption and permit a longer dive. This course could be the first step into
the realm of technical diving or yearn to prolong your customary dive plan.
Three parts to this
course are Home study, Classroom and Nitrox dive. Recommend Nitrox

Advanced Open Water Diver
Diver Benefits: Increased confidence and
awareness while diving
To obtain an Advanced Open Water Diver Certification you must log a minimum of 24 dives. You must also complete a minimum of 4 specialties. The Frank’s Underwater Sports offers a complete Advanced Open Water Certification package. It is designed to instruct you in what are the most commonly used specialties in diving.
Recommended equipment: Owning your own Total Diving System, Dive Alert, BC Whistle, Lights (Primary, Backup and Tank), Dive Marker and reel. Please come by and talk with us based on your current dive system.

Specialty Courses:
NAVIGATION - Have you ever ask yourself, "
How does my instructor manage to find the way back to the exit point or the
boat?" If so, the NAVIGATION Course is what you need to learn this skill
for yourself. The NAVIGATION Course will teach you to navigate with a
compass and how to apply natural navigation skills. You will also learn to
estimate distances, navigate different search patterns, find your way to
different marking points, and be able to get back to the exit point at any time.
Course includes: Natural Navigation, Compass Navigation, Combining Natural and
Compass Navigation,
Special Navigation Situations and The Sport of Navigation. The primary goal of any SSI Specialty course is to teach you important skills in a fun environment. All courses are taught using home study, short academic sessions, and in-water training.

vacation will take place from a dive boat. In your BOAT DIVING SPECIALTY
COURSE you will learn the right boat diving techniques, get the most out of
planning your vacation, what to consider when traveling with your Total Diving
System. Taking a BOAT DIVING program prior to your vacation guarantees you
will be ready. Course covers: Selecting Your Dive Boat, Preparing For Your
Trip, Traveling On Your Boat, Diving From Your Boat, Finishing Your Boat Trip

"PERFECT
BUOYANCY CONTROL is the first step for every diver wants to be a "good diver."
Improving your buoyancy control skills is highly recommended. Every
diver who wants to improve diving skills and at the same time wants to perform
active environmental protection should take a PERFECT BUOYANCY course.
Nearly every diver who wants to dive on great spots on holiday is requested to
do a Check-Dive and buoyancy control is one of the essential skills that has to
be performed. This isn't done to stress you out at the start of your
vacation. It is done to protect the reefs you will be diving around. The

DIGITAL
UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY - Now diving and photography with a digital camera system
have become very easy! Many of you may already have a digital camera system
and a proper underwater housing. As such, it's likely you are asking yourself
how to take better pictures. Now a structured program is available to answer
your digital underwater photography questions which means more fun and
satisfaction in diving. The DIGITAL UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY Program can be
learned in the pool/confined water or directly in the open water. This makes
this a perfect "winter specialty" which can be done just before your diving
vacation starts. Course Covers: Your Entry to the Underwater
Photography, Your Digital Camera System, Using your Camera System, Taking
digital pictures underwater, Composition of your underwater pictures, Editing
your digital pictures and more.
DRY
SUIT DIVING is the course you should take, visibility at these times of the
year is usually excellent so it's a great time to get out there. If you want to
dive during the fall and winter or the colder climates. When the nights
become longer, the days shorter and the water gets colder - then the time for
Dry Suit Diving has come." In your DRY SUIT DIVING program you will learn
about the advantages of dry suit diving, different suits, valves, underwear and
dry suit accessories. During the 2 mandatory dives you will apply correct
dry diving techniques and demonstrate the correct care and maintenance of a dry
suit. Course Covers: Why Dry Suits?, Types of Dry Suits, Underwear
Selection, Dry Suit Accessories, Dry Suit Techniques, Maintenance of Dry Suits
and Dry Suit Repairs.
Stress and Rescue Diver course
Key Benefits: Effective buddy team and safer diver, prerequisite for Master Diver
With
the Diver Stress and Rescue Course any certified diver can now become a safer
diver - the SSI way. Learn how to detect and prevent stress in yourself and your
diving companions, while mastering the rescue skills needed to help a diver in
trouble. The key to early detection of stress is proper identification.
Understanding the physical, mental, and physiological causes will help you
identify stress in yourself and others. Stress can be prevented through
precautions such as physical fitness, proper dive planning and use of quality
equipment. With the Diver Stress and Rescue Course you will increase your diving
competency and responsibility.
